Steak with Mashed Sweet Potato & Cauliflower

1 serve + left-over mash


  • 1 quality piece of steak (no bigger than a palm size portion)
  • 1 sweet potato (skinned and cut into large chunks)
  • 1/2 cauliflower (cut into large chunks)
  • 1 cup of diced mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons of organic butter


1 .In a large pot boil cauliflower and sweet potato in water for approximately 10mins until cooked and soft.

2. Strain water from the cauliflower and sweet potato, add in the butter and mash through until the mixture is soft to create the mashed mix. (Store left over serve in fridge for next day)

3. On low to medium heat cook piece of steak for your liking.

4 .In the same pan using the steak juices, cook mushrooms for approximately 5 – 10mins until soft for the mushroom sauce.

5. Add a pinch of salt to the steak and mash and serve.
