What is Organic Buyers Group about?
Organic Buyers Group or OBG is about everything organics - offering a customer recommended range at the best prices possible whilst supporting our suppliers who in turn support organic producers worldwide. We all end up supporting the organic growers who help us maintain healthy ecology and a sustainable environment.
Our aim is to also sustain the lowest cost enterprise as possible without wasting margin so we can pass on all savings and discounts to customers. Making organics affordable and operating a lean store, definitely supports the organic industry for the future.

Major taste factor - a delicious and happiness boost to any day. We all know how much joy our favourite dish brings and why not make it organic.
Certified Organic = toxic free = relaxing, stress free moments. You don't need to worry about any toxic ingredients in your product. Your immune system will thank you for the organic choice.
Organic alternatives to any food or product boosts the health factor. No toxic pesticides, herbicides, insecticides and any known toxic chemicals. We don't want to eat food sprayed with Mortein or sulphur dioxide e.g. dried fruits such as apricots used to preserve the colour.
There are also more products in the market within the organic industry that are focused on being gluten free, vegan, raw, sugar free, dairy free, MSG free and also soy free. For allergy sufferers or those just wanting to reduce certain ingredients for clean lean eating, the choices within the health foods and organic markets are vast.

What was the inspiration behind the website and company?
In short: we just wanted affordable and tasty organic food and products for our own household, family and friends whilst enjoying a friendly shopping experience with the best customer service.
Organic Buyers Group is the brainchild of an enterprising pair passionate about making organic food and other products readily available to all, in the interests of promoting health and the preservation of our fragile environment.
Beginning in the noughties with the staples of certified organic free-range eggs, non-dairy milks and traditional sourdough breads, our product offerings have now grown based on customer requests and recommendations to over 1,200 meticulously researched grocery products supporting over 200 brands ... and growing every day.
We have customers to thank for our expansion, as we receive daily product suggestions and great health tips and ideas. We love to share with the whole health and organic community to create an Organic Buyers Group for all, ever changing to improve where needed e.g. new products enter the market every day, so why not offer the best?
We select products for their purity, high nutrition value and effectiveness. Friendliness of the product and its packaging to humans and nature before, during and after production is also a key factor in our selection process. Sometimes there are limited choices to source, so we do need to compromise at times, though choosing organic is the main criteria.
We also prefer to stock the premium products in each category rather than every brand or their entire range. We select the top 3 products and welcome feedback to revise our range at all times.
Our veritable smorgasboard of nourishing and delightful foods aims to satisfy a wide spectrum of different tastes and dietary requirements. Every day our groceries, personal care and household products range is growing with the help of feedback and suggestions.
Tell me a bit about the OBG team?
We have a great team of people who have backgrounds in IT and Management Business Consulting, Accounting and Logistics and those who just love organics!
We all found our way... past the daily grind of city travel, a 10+hour a day desk job, travelling the world, consulting for top companies. We realised we could be advising ourselves in what we really love - food, health, organics, protecting the environment, creating a sustainable ecology with effective farming techniques via permaculture and other age-old methods.
And we wanted flavour! Have you ever tried an organic apricot vs a convential non-organic apricot - worlds apart with organic versions winning out every time packed with sweetness and the flavour we knew from our childhood. So we joined forces with a big help from our IT expert and passionate product buyer to start an OBG - Organic Buyers Group truly for all.
